The University of Warsaw asked for architectural proposals for refurbishment of the Faculty of Jouranlism and Political Science. The main deisgn challenge concentrated on the building housing the Auditorium. The key design issues were determined by the idea how to bring back its proper functional layout, and how to upgrade technically the building, while keeping its historical quality.
The concept is based on highlighting the visible distinction between the old and the new, whereas the new is supposed to play equally important part as the old in support of the one, coherent whole.
